Reposted from Jenna at Lunchpails and Lipstick blog Last year I fell in LOVE with cycling. I never had the desire to try it, so I just never did. I had a friend tell me to just try it once. After I realized how amazing it was I have been hooked ever since. I used […]
Well, well…the minute I put that skirt on, I felt better. It was unbelievably comfortable and when I looked in the mirror it was “Frump No More”.
This chica is what one would have called a “tomboy” growing up. At least for a Puerto Rican. So the idea of running in a skirt was laughable … until it wasn’t. My running friend and Skirt Sports Ambassador Captain Brandess Wallace had been singing the praises of the Skirt Sports gear. And she, unlike […]
But the funniest thing happened while I was flying through the air with my tiny little wisp of a Skirt that may or may not be showing off my derriere: I didn’t care. I was so FREE and my legs felt so wonderful that I didn’t even think about it until later. And by then it didn’t matter.
That Skirt quickly earned a top spot in my running wear rotation and became my first choice for race day. Nothing made me feel better or more confident than toeing the line in my Skirt.

when I tried the Heartbreaker Skirt (for those of you who may not know what that is – it’s a skirt over
leggings), I instantly fell in love.
On September 12, 2004, I made a big statement. I won an Ironman — wearing a SKIRT! I heard it all, “What was that thing?” “I don’t know if I love it or hate it, but I have to have it,” “Are you on a tennis team?” In the end, it was all good buzz.
Running is my favorite. So is craft beer. And if you look around, you’ll see that I’m not alone. …
