If I purchased a Skirt Sports product through a different retailer, such as my local running company, can I return or exchange the product to Skirt Sports?

Skirt Sports cannot accept returns or exchanges on product purchased through a different retailer.  You will need to return or exchange the product to the original place of purchase and follow that store or company's Return /Exchange policy.

Why do I keep getting an error code when entering a Gift Certificate?!? I swear I have not used it, but it tells me it's expired or invalid?

It's all good, we can help you out here.  Most likely you are inputting the code in the wrong box!  No worries, this happens all the time.  Make sure you are putting the code in the Gift Certificate Code box, NOT the Discount Code box and I bet you'll see it work!

How do I make a return or exchange?

If you aren't thrilled with your purchase, you can return items in their original condition, unworn, unwashed and with the tags still attached within 30 days of the original purchase date.  You may request a return refund in the original form of payment (minus shipping charges) or an exchange.  Items returned after 30 days of original purchase will be issued a gift certificate for the amount of the product.  Customers are responsible for paying shipping fees to return an item.

Go to our Customer Service tab on and click on Returns and Exchanges. You will need your invoice number and the shipping zip code to input your request.  

You must fill out a Return form for your request to be processed. Mailing only an invoice with your product will delay the processing of your order.

We will process an Exchange, but we cannot guarantee the item you would like to exchange it for will be in stock when we receive the exchange.  You may choose to place a new order to make sure you get the item.  Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.  You may also contact Customer Care to assist with Exchanges or to inquire about availability of product.

A note about Gifts With Purchase
Anytime you return an order that comes with a free gift, you must also return the free gift. If we don’t receive it back, we will have to charge you the retail value of the gift.  Seems only fair right?

I have a discount code. Can I use it during the sale?

Discount codes, regardless of their expiration date, cannot be used during sales.

If I buy something from Skirt Sports and it goes on sale, can I get a credit for the sale price?

Yes!  If you made your purchase within 7 days of our sale, then you can definitely get credit for the sale price!  The difference will be put on a gift certificate for you to use towards another Skirt Sports purchase.

Oh no! I bought something on sale and it doesn't fit, but I love it and want a different size! How do I get the same item for the sale price I originally paid?

No worries!  Please place a new order online with comments that you bought this same item on sale or with a discount code, and you would like to be refunded the difference in price. 

You also have the opportunity to make an exchange online with us through the returns and exchange process, although we can guarantee that your size will be in stock when we receive your exchange, so it may be better to place a new order.

How would I go about purchasing a gift card for my friend for her birthday?

Let us know how you'd like your friend to get her gift certificate.  We can mail it or email it to your friend, or if you prefer to have it go to you, then just let us know that as well!

I have a gift certificate to use that will cover my purchase but the system keeps asking me for a credit card! Why?

Our ordering system is designed where you must enter a credit card # to complete your purchase even when using a gift certificate that could cover the whole purchase.  You will not get charged for anything if the amount is within the gift certificate amount.  However, you'll be covered if the amount does go over the gift certificate amount because the card is already in!  Happy shopping!

Lucky me, I have 2 gift certificates! I'd like to use them both on a single purchase but your check-out only allows 1 gift certificate code. How can I use them both?

You ARE so lucky!  Not only do you have more than one gift certificate BUT you can also use them both on a single purchase.  All you have to do is either call Customer Care at 1-877-754-7871 or email and let them know what the multiple codes are so they can be merged into one!  Easy as pie and a fabulous shopping experience for you!  This applies to any number of gift certs.


If a gift certificate is a promotional gift certificate it cannot be combined with additional gift certificates.

I have a discount code to use with my order. Where do I input it?

Enter your discount code during checkout in the Discount/Promotion Code box.  This field is located on the payment page right next to where you enter your credit card information. You will have to enter credit card information even if your discount or gift certificate amount covers your total order cost. Please note that you cannot use two discount codes for one order! 

What is your shipping policy? Do you ship internationally? To APO addresses?

Skirt Sports can ship anywhere but you are responsible for all duties, taxes and brokerage fees. These fees are based on the package and what your government wants to charge. Sadly, we do not rule the world so we don’t have information about how much your international or expedited shipping may cost.  Keep in mind that UPS will ask for collection at the time of delivery.

Our primary shipping company, UPS, doesn't ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses so we use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for these shipments.  

We do NOT offer expedited shipping through the USPS, only First Class.  Please allow 8-to-10 business days for USPS to ship to these locations. Shipping to Canada will take longer than 8-10 days via USPS.

If you want to request USPS, please do so in the Comments section during your ordering process.

If you are using a free shipping code for your order, then your order will be shipped via USPS.

3-Day means 3 business days, 2-Day means 2 business days, and Overnight means next business day. Place your expedited order by 1PM MST Monday thru Friday and it will ship same day. If you place your expedited order after 1 PM MST, it will ship the next business day. Ground/Economy orders can take 3-5 business days to ship. Orders may be subject to verification which may result in delayed shipping.

UPS may require a signature even if we request otherwise. For example, this could happen if you live in an apartment without a doorman. If this is a concern, be sure to deliver to an address where someone will be around to sign.

EEK! I need my Skirt for a race this coming weekend! Can you help me?

A product on my order is not available. What does that mean?

Very infrequently an order is placed and product has become unavailable (especially during our popular sales). We will contact you as soon as possible via email or phone to inform you that a product you have ordered is out of stock. Please don’t hate us because this happens rarely.  Usually it can be chalked up to two different people hitting “buy” at the exact same moment.

Where is the Size Chart?

It is located on every product page. We advise you to measure yourself and compare to OUR size chart (not other company size charts) to decide what size you may be in our products.

We are fully available to answer all your questions and advise you.

What are those odd abbreviations in the sizes?

SM stands for small, MD stands for medium and LG is for large.

Why didn't I receive a free shipping code on my invoice?

We are no longer issuing free shipping codes on invoices. We will be running free shipping offers for various promotions throughout the year, so make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or sign up for our emails so you don't miss the next free shipping promotion!
