On her way to launching Skirt Sports in 2004, professional triathlete, Nicole DeBoom won an Ironman wearing a home-sewn running skirt prototype.
Why a skirt? She was tired of limited apparel choices for athletic women... she was tired of looking like a boy!
What She Wore Mattered that day at Ironman Wisconsin. When she pulled on that skirt, she felt the additional inspiration that looking good and feeling like a strong woman brings. Not having to worry about everyone looking at her butt on the run helped too!
