We cannot say enough good things about our friend Colleen. We love seeing her on the Boulder trails. She brings smiles to our faces when waves as she runs by our office and even bigger smiles when she brings us those amazingly delicious Luna Bars. And, she has chick'd many of guys in her Skirts out on the race courses. We are thrilled she has joined our conversation.

I was a researching fool throughout my pregnancy. I was fastidious. From exercise, to nutrition, to symptoms of early labor, to recommendations for the birth and delivery. I truly enjoyed the entire pregnancy, even the two weeks of limbo after my due date passed but before I was induced. I was good to my body. I was incredibly healthy. I was prepared for just about every possibility - except for the one that happened. An unplanned, emergency cesarean section.

The last 42 weeks were focused on my growing belly, preparing for the event that would take me to the other side, the birth of our Baby Girl. As I mentioned in my "Birth Plan Shmirth Plan" entry, my goal for the birth was to have knowledge of my options and create a preferred birth plan, but keep an open mind since I understood that births are very unpredictable and anything could happen.Well guess what? Anything happened!
