SkirtSports Mini Chase Kids Race to Benefit Chances for Children - Arizona

SkirtSports, creators of the original fitness skirt, have announced the launch of their “Mini Chase Kids Race” to accompany all SkirtChaser races this year. The first of seven kid’s races will kick off in Tempe Arizona, as SkirtSports debuts their first SkirtChaser event of the year. A FREE event for kids ages ten and under, will give mini-racers the chance to run side-by-side with Ironman® Champions Tim and Nicole DeBoom.
The chase will kick off at the end of the SkirtChaser Race registration on Thursday February 28th at 5:30p.m. While a free event for children, SkirtSports will be taking donations for Chances for Children-Arizona, a not-for-profit organization that aims to provide children in Arizona opportunities that otherwise may not be affordable to them. Committed to fighting childhood obesity, the organization is committed to improving quality of life by supporting partnerships and programs that provide access to sports, physical education, and character education for all youth.
“We’ve created this kid’s race with the idea in mind that we all need to see fitness, even at a young age, as something we do for fun,” stated SkirtSports CEO, Nicole DeBoom. “Chances for Children-Arizona is an organization we respect for their efforts in helping children to see lifelong fitness as fun… this is our way to show them we appreciate all their doing to help children and families.
The SkirtChaser Race Series is designed for men and women who like to “run hard and play hard.” The event will kick off at 6p.m. on February 29th, with an all-women’s start, followed by a men’s “skirt chaser” start three minutes later and will conclude with a post-race block party and fashion show featuring a live band.
