SkirtSports Announces Red Bull as National Partner for SkirtChaser Race Series

SkirtSports, creators of the original fitness skirt, have announced Red Bull as a major partner to their national SkirtChaser Race Series this year. Created as a fun mixer, the SkirtChaser Race Series is designed for men and women who like to “run hard and play hard.” Each event will kick off with an all-women’s start, followed by a men’s “skirt chaser” start three minutes later and will conclude with a post-race block party and fashion show featuring a live band.
"Red Bull has a long history of supporting the growth and evolution of sports. We love the SkirtChaser Race Series because it takes a typical 5K race and does it in a much bigger, better, and unique way,” Says Jason Argent, Sports Marketing for Red Bull. “This series celebrates the sport of running while not losing sight of the ultimate goal of having fun. The SkirtChaser not only allows us to support a sport philosophy we strongly believe in, but to also showcase the benefits of Red Bull both on and off the course."
Designed as an edgy and sexy fitness event, the SkirtChaser brings attendees together for competition, socializing, and to celebrate running at a unique venue. The race series, which will make stops in seven cities in 2008 will stop in Santa Monica, CA on November 1, 2008. Red Bull athletes will also be on hand at the Halloween weekend race as the start and finish lines will be at the Red Bull headquarters.
“We want to bring both women and men together to celebrate fitness and socialize in an atmosphere that is friendly and encouraging,” says Meg Gill, Director of the SkirtChaser Race Series. “This race series embodies all of these ideals and is thus a perfect fit for Red Bull and we are very excited to have them as a national partner.”
The SkirtChaser Race Series and Red Bull will be coming to a city near you in 2008:
